Increasing the number of women in Management Roles

Stepping up to Management

More and more women are entering the field of management. However, research suggests that despite greatly increased representation across all sectors and in a wide variety of industries, women still face particular challenges when aspiring to management roles in their organisations. Some of the key factors that have proven to be vital to women’s success are: managing the impact they have on others; extending their range of influencing styles and applying them appropriately; positive self-presentation and self-belief; clarifying personal and professional vision and setting career and life goals.

This innovative programme is aimed at enabling women to aspire to management roles in progressive businesses across all industrial sectors in South Yorkshire. Developed and delivered by experienced trainers, it aims to help women develop both their inner confidence to realise their leadership potential and give them the practical tools and techniques required to lead themselves and others effectively.
